Dr. Ray Giamartino, Jr. is the Chief Accountability and Integrity Officer and IRB Chair in the Rochester City School District. In his role, he currently leads state and federal reporting; long-range trend student projection planning; attendance, suspension, assessment and graduation analytics; district-wide assessment planning, administration and scoring; and the supervision of student assignment equity and placement. He has been an elementary and middle level teacher, junior high school assistant principal, elementary school principal, Chief of Schools, Superintendent of Schools and Associate Professor of Education in the Departments of Literacy, Special Education and Executive Leadership at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. His primary research has focused on early literacy development and Autism Spectrum Disorder program development, targeting equitable access to programs and services that align with individual student’s needs within their home school and district. He has experience in organizational leadership and strategic planning and development. Further work and experience include using student performance analytics and related trend data, by student, to track and predict grade-level promotion (status) as well as credit accumulation to track, predict and support secondary student on-track graduation. He currently serves on the leadership team of Congressman Joe Morelle’s Monroe County Systems Integration and Implementation and Support Team.
