Elena Schmidt is the incoming program evaluation lead at Apex Evaluation, a small consulting firm in New Mexico with a national portfolio, where she will lead a team of 7 evaluators. Previously, she was the Director of Evaluation at March of Dimes, leading the internal evaluation team for the organization. The evaluation team lead efforts in needs assessment, measurement, and reporting to support the mission impact. She has over 14 years of experience in research and evaluation in the non-profit sector, including her position as Director of Research and Evaluation at Tulsa Public Schools as a Cohort 10 data fellow. She has a BA in International Relations and History from Colgate University, an MA in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Temple University.
