This year’s conference theme, "Strength in Numbers," is a celebration of a decade of data-informed progress from across our network and an opportunity to discuss our future direction. Join us for our 10th-anniversary celebration. We will look back at the evidence-informed progress we’ve made as a sector but also look forward to the pressing issues of the day. This year the event will take place at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, MA from May 20–22, 2019.

I serve as the Administrator of Accreditation for all educator preparation programs in California. In addition, I work on a variety of policy issues that impact educator preparation. I am interested in how to continue to better prepare and retain educators for the coming years. We are a large and diverse state so the challenge we face is always about scale and local context. I am always interested in exploring ways in which data can help programs replicate exceptional practices despite differences in local context. In addition, I am very interested in how data can be better harnessed to demonstrate quality in educator preparation programs.
